He’s not even lying. Benn seems to have gotten old fast. He went from 79 points to 53 last year and was a total none factor versus the Blues.

He’s on pace for 40 points this season.
Washed up? Since he plays for the Stars, I hate the SOB, but man, I'd take him on this team in a heartbeat. The eye test says he's still a hell of a player.

Petro has never been better than he has under Berube. He’s gone from like the 20th best D man to Top 3 in the league. He’s that good now. Might be the best. The only thing that held Petro back was his brain but it seems that Berube has unlocked it. Petro has all the tools and it’s showing now.
Totally agree. Twelve months ago I was ready to give Petro away for a wooden nickel. Clearly, Berube has taught him how to be a leader. Totally different player.

He'd be a better player if he'd stop trying to be a hard-ass and just play the game. He has the skills, but not the mindset.
Right? He's going to Chris Stewart career path. Not to the extreme but he seems more interested in gooning it up than scoring points.

Your eyes may tell you that, but the box scores say he has 1 more point than Ivan Barbashev....

Point taken, but the stats say the Blues were in last place about this time last year too. I'm guessing at the end of this season, Benn's stats will reflect his ability.

Right, Benn might not be what he once was, but he’s still a great player. It seems like he just doesn’t score on those laser shots he used to have. When he was scoring 40 goals, he was firing lasers and picking corners from far range. You don’t see that anymore with him and I don’t know why. Maybe he’s lost a step and he can’t create space for himself like he used to.

Calm down. This is a routine save.

More of a comment on the body of work over his last couple of starts than any one save. No Shakey Jakey the last couple of games.
Haha no worries. I was definitely being sarcastic. Was a brilliant save.

I think he will be back barring any serious injuries.
I'll confess, I'm one of those who thought JBo was done about this time last year. But he has TONS of experience and hockey-smarts and still skates and moves the puck well enough to apply them effectively.

Thankfully almost everything most of us thought about the Blues this time last year turned out to be wrong.

It's got to be frustrating for other teams to have to play against Bouw, Petro, Parayko for basically two thirds of the game.
