you're talking about the city that is allowing people to unlawfully "take over" city blocks, eject people they don't want in there, prevent people from entering if they don't agree with them. and the city is tolerating this tantrum, if not encouraging it. there are businesses within the area that can't operate. so yeah, nothing about what they decide to do with a sports arena surprises me.

and bezos is the worst human alive?

Can't wait to get to the cup finals and lose half the team to covid. WEEEEEEEE

The way I read it it's 15/250 with the other 11 coming from players that haven't yet reported to their teams, but have gotten tests. I don't think it's likely that a team will have a sudden outbreak in the Final as they'd have been in the bubble long enough without an outbreak. I think if the bubble bursts it'll happen well before the Final. I think that scenario is very plausible, as well as this thing just not getting off the ground to begin with. We'll see.
...but whatever, the Blues won the Cup!!!!!

This adds to the intensity of the competition...the thrill of death...this will be the greatest tournament of all times...also...can you imagine the sounds we will get with no fans.

Only takes one to spread it through a locker room.

Also, it's not like they will be living in plastic bubbles. They are still in cities, staying in hotels, going out for food etc

It's a bit optimistic to assume hockey players are going to lock themselves in their rooms for a month or whatever.

Oh I agree wholeheartedly. I just think that if it falls apart, it will do so before it ever gets to the Final.

Agreed. I don't see the season ever actually getting that far. They will have to shut it down a round or two in when the first team gets it and can't field a lineup

Looks like the games fans won't be able to get into will be played in Canada. Exchange rate for the win!
1 USD = 1.36 CAD. U.S. players' wives' & GFs' shopping budgets for the win!
That and they're more strict about masks and social distancing so it will kinda force the players to stay safe
I hope Snuggerud beats the shit out of Kyrou

I wonder how many players are currently expecting a child in the next month and will opt out of isolating away from them for two months in order to be there for the birth? There has the be a pretty big handful of expecting parents in the league and I wouldn't blame them. If they leave, are they allowed to come right back?

Children born at full term in July & August 2020 would've been conceived in the time period of early October to early December 2019, i.e., in the first 2-3 months of the 2019-20 NHL season of play. I reckon the number of expectant NHL parents right now is smaller than you reckon.

Ok, now you've got me wondering who that "pretty big handful" is.
