I've shared the story here before about how my stepdad introduced me and my uncles to the Blues and the game of hockey in the early 70's. We had very little money, but he sacrificed to make sure he took me to as many games at the old Arena as possible. He and two of my uncles didn't live long enough to see this day, but as soon as the game was over I was on the phone with the remaining two uncles and we shed tears of joy. I've been alternating smiles and tears since the final horn sounded and I don't foresee that changing anytime soon.

We are no longer the only great expansion team without a Cup, the team with the longest run without a Cup, the bridesmaids, Charlie Brown trying to kick the football, the only St. Louis team to not have a championship, the longest suffering hockey fans.

We are #1.
We are winners.
We are holding our heads high.
We are the last team standing.

We are the Stanley Cup Champion ST. LOUIS BLUES!

Amazing isn't it? The NHL world looks up to the St. Louis Blues..................Incredible.......................now the talk in the league is it's a game of attrition. Teams absolutely have to start thinking about playing bigger if they want to win 4 rounds of hockey. Jim Benning of Vancouver was already quoted about getting stronger. Gotta love it. Let's go for two ------ back to back!!! :)

But also, considering the cOp couldn't answer his question about why he was being handcuffed, I'm guessing the simply detained him, escorted him out and sent him on his way. So technically that doesn't count as an arrest.

Nice to know we already have the team slogan for the 2019-2020 squad figured out already. One less thing for the marketing department to worry about.

Am I the only one feeling a little weird today? Here is this thing that I have dreamed about for so long, and now it has actually happened. I don't really know how to feel. I've never finished the season like this, it is uncharted territory. Maybe it's just the Bi-Polar talking. Still pumped, just a little weird.

Shaving off the beard today, my Official Cup Merch arrives tomorrow, so I will have an official new look!!

Been great going on this ride with you guys. Living in NC I don't get to experience all of the excitement of the city. This bunch of crazy, rabid and sometimes even knowledgeable :D Blues fans helped me through a season like no other. Thanks!!!

I'm guessing they were making the rounds telling people it's time to move on and came across this dude who wouldn't get up and go..... Either that or they singled him out because he was drunk. Either way, hopefully they just sent him on his way like you said. And hopefully nothing happened to the cup.

Poole was carted off shortly after and taken to a holding cell in Busch Stadium, where he was cited on a municipal charge of trespassing and then released. Sadly, his words of warning failed to save his memento; his cup was tossed to the ground.
Good to hear he wasn't actually arrested. FREE SILENT BOB! PROTECT THE CUP!
