It depends on what you mean by #1 defenseman. Technically, there are 30 #1 defensemen in the league, one on each team, and I'd actually take Petro over MANY of those. If you mean a #1 defenseman on a Stanley Cup winning team, you're only talking about a handful of players over almost the last decad...
