Re: Jordan Kyrou

I wouldn't be shocked if the Blues invited him down to be around the team. They did that with Fabbri....took him on a road trip to Florida. I still think there is a chance he's on the Blues opening night roster come October. A lot will depend on how the offseason goes and a lot will depend on Kyrou...

Re: Jordan Kyrou

Hmmm, I wonder if the fact he signed an ELC negates the ability to sign an ATO / PTO.

My understanding is that next year he's either back in junior or the NHL. Still too young for the AHL as far as I know.

Jordan Kyrou

Season ended a couple nights ago. Anyone hear anything on him getting a look in Chicago. Not sure that lineup would have room for him, but practicing with them for a few weeks would be beneficial as well.

Re: Why is Schmaltz up?

I thought he played really solid last night. Much more comfortable than his first two games. For sure. Sold indeed for minutes played. Better, even if just for practice and environment for him to be here. He isn't going to 'learn' anything else in the AHL, IMHO. Should be in tomorrow also vs the Av...

Re: Just some thoughts

Oshie is gonna get severely overpaid this summer. His skating style doesn't seem like one that will last as he ages, and he's shooting st a ridiculous 24.2% clip this year, which is unsustainable. Considering his career average is 13%, safe bet we'll never see a year from him like this again. Someon...

Yes, I'm in Halifax right now. I'll be at the premiere signing autographs with my FISTS
Haha. As a Halifax resident, I'm glad I didn't go to the premiere then!!

I do look forward to the movie though

Re: Since the trade

Not sure why you're saying the Caps have nothing to play for...The Pens are just 2 points back now. Columbus 3. Fair point. IMO, Washington is in cup or bust mode. Where they finish in the regular season probably doesn't mean that much when compared to a team on the playoff bubble like the blues. B...

Re: Schmaltz or Fabbri

At the 2014 draft, if you'll remember, the Chicago Blackhawks traded up one spot in front of the Blues believing they were going to take Nick Schmaltz. The Blues ended up taking Fabbri with the next pick. I remember a lot of people(on the other forum at the time) laughing at the Hawks for doing so ...

Re: The Deadline thread

Ntc's are the problem, GM's hand em out like Halloween candy anymore. I think we could have been watching Taylor Hall this year without a ntc. Shatty didn't nix the trade to Edmonton, he just wouldn't sign an extension there. The Blues could send him to any team they want, but Edmonton wouldn't tra...

Re: The Deadline thread

Wow, for Hanzal: Elliotte FriedmanVerified account‏@FriedgeHNIC 2m2 minutes ago ARIZ is receiving a first-rounder, a second-rounder and a conditional pick that can become a second. MIN is all-in Jeez, that's promising for Shatty's price as a rental. Makes the 1st rounder, plus prospect seem very fair

Wow, that's bonkers. Two real high quality left handed D-men prospects we've got.
