Yes! To me, Oshie's departure was almost mandatory, damn the return. Considering his poor playoff performnances, and the upcoming 3 on 3 o/t probably drastically reducing the number of shootouts, his value was shrinking. I think he'll improve over last season. Remember it took a season for Tarasenko to get acclimated to the grind of a full NHL season.

I think this also means that Tarasenko will definitely be getting at least 7 million.
