Re: Parayko's Next Contract

$3.4 and $3.6....lol. Army is an idiot. He just gave Alex Steen, and aging broken down player a 5 year deal and now they low ball our best dman. That's a pretty standard gap for arbitration cases, and every submission in arbitration is either a low ball (from the team) or a moonshot (from the playe...

Re: Blues Prospect Camp

Yep, those without perspective and an ability to separate fact from hype often get their feelings hurt when their expectations fall short, especially with regards to sports. I personally will buy into the hype as a Blues fan so I feel good about being a fan and the opportunity for the team, but wit...

Cap hit can't be on a bell curve. It's a straight line amount. Total dollars / years.

Re: Kostin

Definitely hurts to not control an AHL affiliate the year that the highest potential prospect we've had in years is going to play there. That deal is likely to impact on medium level prospects. For high end prospects, like Kostin, he should be good enough to earn plenty of playing time in the AHL. ...

Re: Thomas

Comparisons to Bo Horvat are just a dream to hear. I'm a big Horvat fan.

Re: 2017 NHL Draft talk

Sam Cosentino on Sportsnet, who is a really solid junior hockey source called him the second coming of Bo Horvat, which is pretty exciting.

Trains with Gary Robert as well.

8 years is a big risk health wise.
His player type, and the way he skates just doesn't look like something that will last at a high level for very long.

Re: Tank's Players Tribune Article

The people that criticize Tarasenko are just the people that want a roster full of Adam Cracknells and Kyle Brodziaks. Muckers and grinders. Some in St Louis have an aversion to skill. While true in many cases, I've criticized him in the past a fair bit, but more because I see, and he's shown, how ...

Re: SCF: Game 5

Preds have a lot of confidence on home ice, and zero in Pittsburgh. Opposite for the Pens. Pens will win with a lopsided score in Game 7, with Bettman stopping the game early in the 3rd period to hand the Conn Smythe and the Stanley Cup to Crosby and the world lives on happy as things go on as they...

Kovalchuk

Just heard that Friedman listed the Blues (along with San Jose and Toronto) as possible destination for Kovalchuk.

Wouldn't be my first choice, but interesting nonetheless

Re: Parayko RFA status

Similar conversation we seem to have every year on our RFAs. Offer sheets should be more common with the reduced draft pick prices required, but I'm very confident Army is locking him up long term.
