Re: Blues 2024 Offseason Thread:

I think our goalie duo will be fine for a few years, especially if we can extend Hofer beyond next season and he's OK being a 1B for a while. Even doubling his current salary or more, that'd lock up a VERY good goalie tandem for less than 10% of the salary cap. I think Armstrong's priorities this of...

Re: Blues 2023-2024 season thread

So we've reached the last day of the regular season. I suppose the most pressing decision the Blues have is what to do at Head Coach. Bannister has a record of 30-19-4 at the moment, good for a .604 points percentage. I don't know about you but that exceeded my expectations. Was that turnaround his...

Re: News and Games around the NHL

All for naught for Perron and the Wings as the Flyers needing to win in regulation pulled their goalie in a 1-1 game and Washington scores the empty netter to get the two points clinch the final wild card spot, led by Charlie Lindgren in goal. Wild chain of events there as an OT loss would've put t...

Sounds like a guy with great physical tools who still hasn't shown signs of putting it all together at 22. We'll see if he can stick at the NHL level, or will mostly be an AHLer with the occasional call-up.

Re: News and Games around the NHL

Lots of angles on the Coyote's move to SLC beyond the league/ownership issues: While Utah has a tax structure that's more favorable for businesses, it's significantly LESS favorable for individuals. That'll certainly impact a lot of players' decisions going forward. Will players around the league th...

Re: Blues vs Blackhawks 7pm

I looked at Leddy getting an assist on that last goal and didn't realize he'd scored that much. Looked at him closer since becoming a Blue: Average about 25 points/season, 21+ minutes/night, one of our top +/- guys, top PK guys. Only makes $4 mil/year. Seems like he's the very definition of a solid,...

Re: News and Games around the NHL

Well, I think thats why we've all said you have to at least listen to offers. No one is suggesting just give him away for the sake of giving him away. But say the Leafs offer up Marner for Binner and Krug, are you taking it? You're making this hard. I love Binner. He's a bonafide Cup winning goalie...

The Blues record vs. the bottom 5 teams in the league (as of right now): Anaheim 2-0 (one game left) Chicago 2-1 (one game left) Columbus 0-2 Arizona 2-2 San Jose 0-2-1 13 points out of a possible 28 (so far, with 4 more points on the table). We should have at least 20 of 28 points against the cella...

Re: Blues 2023-2024 season thread

Well, it IS the Blues, so it's not exactly uncalled for to expect the worst. That said, I think we're going about according to plan. We tore things down for future assets last season and racked up some of those future assets that we knew would take 3-4 years to develop, all while trying to stay 'com...
