Re: Yet another reason to hate the B's

Re: Question about next season...

Haven’t read all the posts in this thread, but would love to see a FTP thread after every win again! Also, an idea I had would be to do a FTP thread for every time we lose. Instead of reading posts from the opponents team, we read the posts from the STLtoday forums. Something to look forward to even...

Re: 2017 NHL FA/Trade talk

I kinda figured we weren't likely to get Drouin so I'm very happy he is in Montreal and not Nashville or Anaheim or any other WC team.
On another note, Montreal has been a fun team to watch in the offseason these last couple of years lol.

Are We Really a Better Team?

After looking at each lineup from the last two playoff teams, I'd say we are pretty even with last years team on paper. The team will go into next season (hopefully) with a fully healthy team. Bouwmeester, Stastny, and Lehtera never looked the same after their injuries. Rehab and rest should do all ...

Re: Opening Night line-up on July 8th

I feel as though we are going to see several different line combos throughout the year, but at this point I will guess our opening lineup will be: Schwartz / Stastny / Jaskin Speed, size (for possession), and two-way ability makes this our first line. I think a lot of people will be impressed with J...

Re: Wow! Saad Traded!

If Teraveinen continues where he left off and if Richards can come back cheap. Blackhawks may not be far off from where they left off. Only now they're a deeper team. Let's hope I'm wrong

Trading Bouwmeester

Is this offseason the time to trade Bouwmeester? Obviously he had an awful year and playoffs this past year, but is it only going to get worse for him? I doubt this team can afford to hold on to an underachieving defenseman that has a cap hit of 5.4 million. They have Schwartz, Tarasenko, and Shatty...

Re: Oshie for....

Meh... I'd rather save Oshie for a larger return. If we're looking for speed on the third line then I'd look at Frolik in free agency.

Mock Offseason.

Just a little mock offseason I drew up. Here's what I came up with: Steen / Lehtera / Tarasenko Schwartz / Stastny / Bourque Jaskin / Backes / Abdelkader Galliardi / Sobotka / Reaves (Porter, Hendricks) Johnson / Pietrangelo Ericcson / Shattenkirk Lindbohm / Bortuzzo (Jackman) Allen Elliot Trades: -...

Re: So after watching the Army post season presser....again

To be quite honest. I think Bouwmeester needs to go. His contract is awful, he's on his decline, and big contract extensions are coming up (Schwartz,Tarasenko,Shatty). We need that money for guys that are going to contribute every night. I feel the same way about Berglund, Ott, And Gunnarsom. Put up...

Re: So after watching the Army post season presser....again

One of the best things each player can do is build off their mistakes. I have no doubt some of these players are gone by October, but I really don't want to see Backes or Stastny gone. If we get rid of Backes, well, we get rid our biggest, most physical top 9 forward. If we get rid of Stastny, we're...

Re: John Gibson

If we didn't have Allen, Binnington, or Husso in the pipeline, then yeah, I'd hope we would look into it. Fortunately, Allen is our guy IMO. Bishop, Crawford are two successful playoff goalies because they were developed through several playoff runs. They had their bad days and will continue to have...
