Re: GDT: Blues vs Flames - 7 - 10/25

Almost as weird as Evander Kane leading the league in SOG so far Eh, Kane has always been a very high shot output guy. Consistently over 260. It's more impressive that Petro has hit the net this often  WAY more impressive. Maybe he had his eyes checked??? Vastly improved player offensively, fo...

Re: Panger out?

I know he's not everyone's cup of tea but I enjoy him. I am not a JK fan at all so he balances that out. Kelly and Federko back again would be extremely difficult to tolerate. I'd rather listen to two drunk guys in a bar discuss who's metaphorical dick is bigger all game. Also, pretty shitty on Fox...

My magic 8 ball says no. As soon as he gets hot, he gets hurt :(

Stas to IR

I'm guessing it's a groin pull/tear. I wouldn't be surprised if it's a potentially season ending injury for him. If it is long term, the big question will be what will Army do.

Re: Brian Elliott

While the number are bad, I think it's also the team in front of him. From what I have seen, the Flames defense has been lacking this year and their record shows it.

Agreed. I would love to see Yak have a huge game tonight. No doubt he will be motivated.

Re: The 16-17 Plan?

See I just don't think we're going to be near as bad as some are saying. Look at the teams that Hitch guided to the playoffs before. The teams before Tarasenko and when Tarasenko was a rookie. You look at those teams and you're like wow, where did our scoring come from? Wow, we had guys like Jordan...

Re: Backes injury

No Backes or Fabbri at the morning skate. I've got a bad feeling neither will play tonight. On the bright side, Upshall is skating

Re: Backes injury

Blues14, so Hitchcock did, in fact, say that in his presser? If so, that is at least encouraging and gives us something to hang on to until later! He said it in the post game presser on Saturday around the same time he said Backes had his pom poms out on the bench  That was before the adrenali...

Re: Backes injury

Yeah, if they suspected a concussion, he would not have been sitting on the bench for the rest of the game. The NHL concussion protocol is pretty specific. Also, someone in the asylum said Saturday night that Hitchcock (I assume in his press conference) had said that both guys would be fine for Gam...

Re: Gunnarsson re-signed.

I'm good with this as its under 3 million and only 3 years. As all signs point to Shatty being moved over the summer and Parayko moving up to the second pairing full time, this gives us a good cost controlled pair for the three years Gunnar is signed for. The two of them have played very well togeth...

Re: Sens & Leafs massive trade

Toronto takes on about 1 mil in salary for the next two years but then all contracts involved drop off. With Dion's contract on the book for 6 years that frees up a ton of money going forward for them. Great move for the Leafs but I'm not really sure it does much for the Sens.

Re: My gripe about ticket prices...

It absolutely was ignorant fuhrfan. About as ignorant as it is to bring more people into an already abundantly over-populated populace we live in now. Why dont more people adopt?! But i digress, $600+ to bring 5 people (family or not) to ANY sporting event is absurd. Shit it cost damn near $100 for...

Re: Gomez on waivers

Gomez (and Gagner) cleared waivers. Guess Gomez is headed to the Wolves. Edit: Now on unconditional waivers per JR to get an unconditional release. Wonder if he'll get another shot with someone. Doubtful he plays for anyone else, unless some team gets bit really bad by the injury bug like we did. T...

Re: GDT 12/17: Preds @ Blues, 7p, FSMW

So, in looking at the goalie stats for the year, Jake has outplayed Pekka in pretty much every aspect this year: J. Allen 24 14-7-2 48 643 2.11 .925 P. Rinne 26 12-8-6 63 677 2.41 .907 Those are some of the worst GAA and SP of Rinne's career. My question is this. Is this a sign of age and injury cat...

Brouwer

Just a fun fact for the morning, Brouwer has played better in 3 games (2g,1a,+2) than Oshie, Perron, and Cole combined (0g,0a,-5). I don't expect him to keep up this pace, but he seems to have embraced his role on the Blues and has been nice surprise.
