Re: All Time Blues Roster

I don't like it. Gretzky, Hawerchuk, who was done when he came here, Kariya, Stastny, Brodeur, Housley, who was a flop here, none of these guys belong on the team. Should be real Blues that played and performed at a high level here in St. Louis. Stevens only played 1 year but his impact was immeasu...

Re: Blues sign Scandella 4 years

I’ll add my 2 cents on Dunn........one of the things I noticed when I rewatched the playoff games during the Cup run was how poised Dunn was. He never seems to panic, he’s aggressive, and he plays with fire. Yeah, he still makes mistakes defensively, but he is a character player and I’d be really d...

Re: Vince Dunn streams Fortnite and said players to report...

My acceptance of the idea they're just done is growing by the day. Bummer. Hope I'm wrong, but I'm not seeing a lot of realistic optimism out there. Yeah, I can't find any reason to believe that we will see any more hockey this season. In fact, It would be pretty much of a miracle if the next seaso...

Re: Yet another reason to hate the B's

Jeremy Jacobs didn’t get to be a billionaire by giving money away. For me personally I hear what you are saying but Just because he’s got $4bil doesn’t mean he owes anybody anything. If Bruins fans really want to make a statement they should do so with their own wallets and not spend money on Bruin...

Hockey is for everyone with a lot of disposable income.
Hockey is the worst in that regard, but the other stores are trying hard to catch up. I've got two granddaughters playing softball. The amount of money their parents have to shell out to fund their sport is obscene.

Re: Austin Rueschhoff

Wait I thought all bars and restaurants were closed as of last night? Grotto Grill says they are open until 8 tonight. Huh. And yeah st Charles bars have been packed the past week. Can’t say I blame people for wanting to go out with a bang before total shut down but count me out. I’ve been at home ...

Re: Play Commissioner

I like the trapezoids personally. Been banging this drum for years and will continue to—enforce icing on power plays. Don’t let teams on the PK ice the puck without punishment. Their team committed a penalty, it doesn’t make sense to give them an advantage. I've always thought the trapezoid thing i...

Re: League Watch 2020

When figuring what the future totals of dead might be, consider that the hospitals will soon be operating beyond capacity. Some Doctors and nurses are now tending to patients a without protective gear due to shortages, risking their lives, as well as probably passing the virus onto others, including...

Re: League Watch 2020

Isn't anyone talking about the NHLPA proposal to the league about the rest of the season. I only heard it once last night. Something about starting the league back up in July and finishing a shortened season and then ending the playoffs in September and then taking about 4 weeks off and then start ...

Re: League Watch 2020

I also think it's silly to think the Virus was first in China in November and I'm to believe it didn't arrive in the U.S until March? In what freaking world does that happen? I'd say it's been here for months and that flu I had in December could have just as easily been coronavirus. WE DON'T KNOW. ...

Re: League Watch 2020

"With the announcement of the 101st death on Tuesday in Washington State, the danger that the coronavirus poses — especially to older people and those with health problems — became even more clear. At least 30 of the deaths were connected to a single nursing center in Washington" 30% of the fatalit...

Re: League Watch 2020

This is all hyped up bullshit. I saw some nerd last night talking about how there are going to be 3-4 billion people infected after this is all over...which means if there is even a 1% morbidity rate there will be millions dead. Now if there were going to be millions dead...wouldn't there be a lot ...

Re: League Watch 2020

In regards to seasonal flu, so far this season there have been at least 36 million flu illnesses, 370,000 hospitalizations and 22,000 deaths from flu. Damn, imagine if countries did nothing and left it up to the people to stop the spread of coronavirus like they do the Flu. We'd need mass graveyard...

Re: League Watch 2020

Among the reader comments on an article outlining the number of cases of the virus,, was this obvious Rhodes Scholar who doubted the accuracy of the report based on the fact that he didn't know a single person who had come down with it.

Re: League Watch 2020

This meme is getting passed around by some colleagues today, and it pretty much accurately sums up how I feel reading this thread (I'm an epidemiologist). epimeme.jpg I actually appreciate your input even though we see this thing differently. I guess my question would be, why don't we do this for o...

Re: League Watch 2020

Very real but that’s not going to happen here...yet the fear is being created. I would submit that it's too early to say where this will end up, but we all have our opinions. Personally, as someone who is in the danger zone in terms of being over 70, with a breathing problem, I appreciate hearing a...

Re: League Watch 2020

Media creating mass panic and fear, a direct hit on our economy because of that fear. Like I said...timing is everything. What about Iran? Italy? Very real but that’s not going to happen here...yet the fear is being created. I would submit that it's too early to say where this will end up, but we a...
